How is TikTok Shop commission calculated?
Commission = what the customer pays × the product's commission rate. If the order is returned or canceled, that commission isn't paid. Shop Ads sales can carry a different rate.
What's a normal TikTok Shop commission rate?
Usually between 5% and 20%. Beauty and wellness tend to pay more (15–20%), electronics less (5–12%). Each seller sets the rate for their product.
What's the difference between GMV and commission?
GMV is everything you sell for the brand; commission is your cut. A product with lots of GMV and a low rate can earn you less than one that sells half as much.
